We spend one third of our lives at work. Because of this, it is important that we learn how to apply the tools that can allow us to be emotionally aware at work throughout the day. As we have mentioned in beginning episodes, practicing meditation is a way in which to become more mindful. Mindfulness allows us to pay attention, in the present moment in a more objective manner. It is key to decreasing rumination about work (i.e,. worry about the past or future) and to productivity because we are better able to pay attention to our work tasks. Mindfulness is also a resource for better management of screen fatigue, considering we all spend too much time in front of a screen. We will chat with you today about having a routine prior to beginning your work day and after the work day has ended and also how to soothe yourself to feel good during the day. We hope you enjoy!
